Some of our most common questions are below, if you need any more information please call our
Member Services Team on 1300 46 26 62

Q. What does 'Flexi' in a membership refer to?

A. Flexi means flexible, and your membership is exactly that! You are able to attend any home (or away depending on your level of membership) game throughout the 2018 AFL Season. For any game that is not 'fully ticketed' you are able to simply scan your membership at the gate for access. 'Fully ticketed' games are those for which there is no general admission seating areas, such as ANZAC Day.

Q. I have a general admission membership, how do I get into games?

A. Easily! For any game that is not 'fully ticketed' you are able to simply scan your membership at the gate for access. You will then be able to sit in any area denoted as general admission by the stadium. You will be advised in advance of any game that will be 'fully ticketed' such as ANZAC Day.

Q. I have a general admission membership with away access, but was told I need to upgrade for ANZAC Day, what do I need to do?

A. Members with away access must upgrade to a reserved seat during the advertised Member pre-sale to secure a reserved seat. Upgrade prices will be published online once confirmed. Members with home only access do not have access to this match and must purchase a reserved seat ticket via the general public ticket on-sale if they wish to attend.

Q. Do I qualify to purchase a concession priced membership?

A. Maybe. You qualify for a concession priced membership if you are a full time student or if you are holding a 2018 pensioner concession card issued by Centrelink, the Department of Health and Community Services, the Department of Community Services or the Department of Veteran Affairs. A Heath Care or Health Benefit card will not be accepted. Your Membership application/renewal form must be accompanied by a photocopy of your pension card. Pension cards must be valid for the duration of the 2018 football season.

Q. What age must my child be to be considered a junior?

A. To be eligible for a Junior Membership, your little Bomber must be 5 years of age or more and under the age of 15 as at 1 January 2018. Juniors aged under 5 at 1 January 2018 are entitled to attend matches without a Club Membership, however they must not occupy a seat.

Q. I have a reserved seat, and so does my friend, but we aren't sitting together. Can we?

A. No problem! Please fill out our Reserved Seat Request Form and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please note, requests are prioritised on a tenure basis.

Q. What is my Membership Number and where do I find it?

Your Membership Number or Account ID is an 7-digit number that starts with either 1, 2 or 3. It can be found on the rear of your membership card, as well as on all correspondence from the Club. This is the number to quote when you call the Member Services team, or in any other communications with the Club.

Q. I am a National Member and I received a letter detailing changes to my membership, what is different?

A. Changes include:

  • Greater flexibility to attend home or AWAY games in Melbourne – including ANZAC Day
  • Reduced price point
  • No longer limited to 500 members in each state and removal of waitlist
  • Access to purchase a ticket to the game/s in your home state in an Essendon area, directly through the ticketing agent

'Advantage' is the name given to the payment plan options offered to all Essendon members. It is the simplest way to pay and to make sure you stay part of the team every year.

Advantages include:

  • You can spread your cost over 10 months
  • Your membership will be automatically rolled over – you don’t need to do anything
  • You keep your seat
  • You’ll receive member news, updates and special offers all throughout the year

There are two Advantage Payment Plans to choose from;

1. Advantage Upfront

Pay the full price of your 2018 membership up front using your credit card and select the 'Advantage Upfront' plan. We will keep your details on file and automatically roll your membership over each year on October 28th so you don't have to worry about it.

2. Advantage Monthly

Spread your membership payments over 10 months commencing 28th October 2017 and finishing 28th August 2018 (skipping December 2017 to give you that extra spending money at Christmas!). If you join after October 28th 2017, you simply pay enough upfront to bring you up to date with the monthly payment schedule and the balance will be debited monthly on the 28th.

Of course you can choose to opt out of using an Advantage plan at any time – simply contact Member Services on 1300 46 26 62 between 9am-5pm, Monday–Friday.

Whichever plan you choose, when it comes time to renew your membership we'll send you a notification that confirms your package and price at least two weeks before the rollover date so you can confirm any changes to your membership package or payment details before it automatically rolls over into the next season.

Member Choice

In 2018, in an effort to improve the quality of your member pack, we have removed the Member Choice option

Q. What happened to my Member Choice?

A. Some 70% of members, despite being given a choice, still chose a scarf in 2017. By removing the choice for 2018, we are able to improve the overall quality of the member pack you receive, giving our members better value for money!
