Member Upgrade Guide - Ticketek

Members with General Admission can access games played at the MCG via Ticketek following the instructions below. Please note, you will need your 12-digit member barcode to upgrade which can be found here, or in relevant on-sale information sent via email from Essendon Membership.

1. Head to www.ticketek.com.au/afl

2. Ensure you have your 12-digit barcode number, and the barcode numbers of any other members you wish to upgrade with. If you don't have your barcode number, you can access it here.

3. Make sure you have a Ticketek account, and have those details handy. You will need to login to your Ticketek account to process the transaction and receive your tickets. We recommend logging in prior to beginning the upgrade process to ensure a smoother transaction experience.

4. Once you have selected the game you wish to upgrade to a reserved seat for, select Club Members and Public Reserve and enter your barcode/s in the white box when prompted. You must enter all barcodes for the members you wish to sit with in the same transaction in order to be allocated seating together (eight tickets per transaction.) Please ensure you are entering one barcode per line. Once you have entered your barcode/s, select "Unlock Tickets."

5. To redeem a $0.00 member upgrade, select Level 1 Goal, Level 4 Wing Front, or Level 4 as your seating category. All other seating categories are available to upgrade, however there will be an upgrade fee associated with those categories.

6. You will need to populate the dropdown box with a '1' against each of the barcodes listed. Then select either 'Mobile Ticket' or 'Print-At-Home' and press next. At this stage you will also have the option to purchase additional guest tickets at full price for any non-members you would like to attend with.

7. You will then be taken to the Checkout screen to finalise your transaction.

8. Please note, the transaction limit is eight tickets. If you wish to upgrade or purchase more than eight tickets, you will need to do so over two separate transactions.
